About the Shop...

The Bloomington Thrift Shop, Inc. has been serving the people of Bloomington and Indiana for over 60 years.

The Bloomington Thrift Shop is a quality resale shop operated by the Zeta Chapter of Psi Iota Xi philanthropic sorority to raise funds for community projects. The Shop is staffed and maintained by the volunteer efforts of its membership.

Many lives are touched and Monroe County is made stronger and healthier through the efforts of the Zeta Chapter of Psi Iota Xi. The Bloomington Thrift Shop provides families with a reasonably priced place to shop. Profits from the Shop may purchace a hearing aid for a child or provide a scholarship to a local high school student. We're making a difference in our community.

The Bloomington Thrift Shop is a nonprofit organization. It operates as the fund-raising arm of the Zeta Chapter of Psi Iota Xi, a national philanthropic sorority installed in 1906 in Bloomington, Indiana.

The Bloomington Thrift Shop has been in operation in Bloomington since 1936. The Shop serves the community by providing an outlet for:

  • recycling clothing and goods
  • quality merchandise at low prices for all
  • scholarships to members of the community
  • funding for community service programs in Monroe County and the State of Indiana
